Brass core drill

These are handy if you need a really thin core drill or one at a specific size you can’t buy.

I preglued a bit of dowel to a burr. Using my hand piece for a lathe I shaped it so it was the right size for the brass tube. I fitted the tube and glued it with super glue. I then put it in my micro motors handpiece and cleaned it up.

You can notch the rim a little. I use it with 200 mesh diamond powder and oil (I use rosehip). It is slower but finer that a normal diamond plated one.

I’m not responsible for your safely if you make one of these. Use appropriate protection.
